My name is Joanne Bell, and I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist in Richmond-upon-Thames, Central London (Marylebone) and online. If you are struggling with any issue, from depression to relationship problems to anxiety, my practice is a comforting, confidential space for you to explore them and receive help personalised to your needs. I am trained in a number of therapeutic approaches which will help to inform the direction of the work. First and foremost, I aim to understand your particular situation without judgment and with an open heart.
If you would like to know a bit more about my work as a counsellor and psychotherapist, feel free to give me a call, or simply keep on reading.
Every client is different, so I am careful to understand your background and specific therapeutic needs before anything else. Once we have a clear picture of your predicament, I can decide on a treatment plan that is tailored precisely to you and make sure you are happy to work in this way. Building that therapeutic relationship is so important, as this helps me know how you relate to others and the kind of help you need. This could involve therapy that looks at your past, mindfulness, or providing a more solution-focused form of support.
To learn more about how I can work with you, have a look at my Approach page.
I work from a cosy, comfortable room in the middle of Richmond upon Thames dedicated to giving clients a private space to explore their issues and receive the help they need.
I also have a second location that I work from in Manchester Square, Marylebone, W1 - a lovely location in central London close to Oxford Circus and Bond Street.
I also offer online sessions over Zoom or on the telephone if you prefer.
Sessions last up to 50 minutes and I recommend are held on a regular weekly basis. For information on costs and the limited availability of reduced fees available to students and low-income clients, please get in touch.
